Your Data Era

You’re Expected to Lead with Data—But You Were Never Trained How

An 8-week coaching program for leaders ready to move from self-doubt to strategic leadership using data, without becoming a data person.

Enrollment for the Beta Cohort closes June 8

Why this part still feels so hard

“I’m not an Excel wizard...”
“I don’t feel confident recommending research. What if someone challenges it?”
“I wasn’t hired to be a data analyst, so why am I expected to lead like one?”

These aren’t isolated thoughts.
They’re the quiet doubts so many leaders carry, but rarely say out loud.

Leaders who are strategic, intuitive, and trusted.
Leaders who know how to communicate and persuade, but still feel shaky when that slide the data team popped in the deck last night shows up on the screen.

You start to wonder if it’s just you.
Did everyone else get the data memo?
Does my hesitation mean something’s wrong with me?

It doesn’t.

You were never trained to lead with data.
But now you’re expected to do it every day.

Your Data Era is for the part of your leadership that didn’t get built, but still matters.

The part no one created a space for.
Until now.

I wish I’d had a resource like [Your Data Era] when I started my career. What you named - fear, shame, dread, and disconnection - were all the things I felt when I was presented with the possibility or even the thought of a quantitative study. I muscled through, but I hated every minute.

About your coach

Hi, I’m Dr. Stephanie E. Farquhar (she/her).

I’ve always worked with data, especially qualitative data. That’s where I was trained, and where I built deep, rigorous insight. But in grad school, I realized that avoiding statistics would limit my ability to lead. It also would limit the kinds of stories I could tell.

So I started integrating quantitative methods into my work, in ways that aligned with my values and expertise.

Since then, I’ve led research teams at the New York City Health Department, co-authored papers on AI at Google, and helped shape federal AI policy at the White House.

Across every role, I’ve seen how often brilliant, mission-driven leaders get sidelined, not because they lack vision, but because they weren’t given the tools to speak confidently about data.

Your Data Era is the space I needed when I was building that skill.
Now, it’s the one I’ve built for you.

What you’ll learn

You’re here because something’s keeping you up at night.

Maybe it’s a slide you have to present.
A proposal you’re leading.
A conversation you’ve been avoiding, because you know data will come up, and you’re not sure how to handle it.

In Your Data Era, we don’t just talk about data. We work through it.

Over 8 weeks, you’ll work on one real, high-stakes project from your actual job or a job you want. We’ll use it as a live case study to build your confidence, clarity, and influence—without turning you into a data analyst.

What you’ll walk away with

By the end of Your Data Era, you won’t just understand the numbers.

You’ll know how to lead with them.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A real project, delivered with clarity, confidence, and credibility

  • A new way of working with data that aligns with your leadership style

  • A stronger voice in rooms where charts, methods, and metrics are on the table

  • Practical language to use with analysts, data teams, and executives

  • A clearer sense of when to push back, what questions to ask, and how to make decisions without second-guessing yourself

  • Less dread when numbers show up and more control over how you respond

You won’t become a data analyst.

You’ll become the kind of leader who knows how to talk about data on your own terms.

“Data now feels liberating and freeing.”

— Dr. Maggie Chery, Physician, Change Practitioner, and Storyteller (About)

Before joining Your Data Era, Maggie had recently transitioned out of medicine and into high-impact tech roles. She was confident in her leadership, but unsure how to talk about data, especially when she didn’t understand how it was produced, or what story it was meant to tell.

“When I hear the word data, I instantly want to get out of my body and into my brain. Data has often served as a function to exclude and gatekeep, especially in the medical community. I am the person the data would count out. I'm used to defending myself and others from data.”

Over the course of the program, Maggie rebuilt her relationship with data. She reframed her emotional responses as valid signals to triangulate with other data sources. She discovered how to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights with clarity and confidence. And she created a project rooted in strategy, storytelling, and influence—without having to become someone else.

“[Your Data Era] allowed a confidence in the way that I move and think and flow through my leadership, my intake of information, the way I reflect, the way I observe that really helped me to stop… letting people tell you the way you process the world is wrong and start actually using these inputs as your superpower.”

In her data era, she is not abandoning her voice, she is amplifying it.
